SBM - State Bar of Michigan Affinity Bar Summitt

Time: September 9, 2017 - 10am-3pm
Location: WMU - Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, MI

We are pleased to announce that the keynote speaker for the Affinity Bar Summit will be Barbara Arnwine, executive director of the Transformative Justice Coalition.

Ms. Arnwine has been a participant and orchestrator of many initiatives around the issues of race and the legal profession. Most recently she served as a member of the law-focused team working on the Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation project that was initiated by the Kellogg Foundation to focus on solutions to the longstanding and multifaceted issues associated with race. The nationally focused project is working in Michigan in partnership with the Council of Michigan Foundations.

We encourage you to join us for this presentation that will be relevant in many ways to the current work of and opportunities for affinity bar associations.

Additionally, join us for an appetizers and networking reception on Friday, September 8th at 5:00pm at the Lansing Brewing Company, 518 E Shiawassee Street in Lansing, Michigan. There is onsite parking for your convenience. Cosponsored by MABE.
