SBM - Writing Workshop, Annual Business Meeting, and Program

**Stories and Themes in Appellate Writing**

With a focus on stories and themes in appellate writing, this day-long program will begin with a small-group writing workshop in the morning, where participants will hone their skills with a short civil or criminal appellate record (judges’ track available). At 1:00pm, the APS will conduct its annual business meeting, followed by an afternoon program featuring remarks by the Chief Justice, a plenary presentation, and a judges’ panel discussion. The day will conclude with a networking and membership reception from 5:00-7:00pm. Participants may attend the full-day workshop (breakfast and lunch included) or the afternoon program only. The cost for each is $35 for APS members or $50 for nonmembers, and scholarships will be available. Space is limited so please register early.
