As CDRC wraps up its 2023-2024 subscription year, we are also saying goodbye to two long-time contributors to the Criminal Defense Resource Center and the Criminal Defense Newsletter, Susan Walsh and John G. Zevalking. Susan has been a part of the CDRC independent contractor team for over three decades, and John has been a part of the team for nearly a decade.

As Associate Editors for the CDN, Susan and John have each worked tirelessly to set and maintain high standards for the CDN’s content. Together, Susan and John have written and edited thousands of case summaries, and John has written dozens of other articles and short pieces as well. Working for the CDRC, Susan has been the principal author of the SADO Trial Book, and John has been the principal author of the Evidence and Search and Seizure Books. In addition, both Susan and John are long-time MAACS roster attorneys – Susan has been on the roster since 2003, and John since 2016.  

“Neither the CDRC nor its publications would be the same without Susan and John,” said SADO Deputy Director Marilena David. She continued: “their expertise and dedication have been invaluable to us, and we can’t thank them enough for all they’ve done over the years to support the CDRC and advance its mission.”
