SADO - How to Identify & Effectively Use Clients' Intellectual Disability (Part I)

Time: April 16, 2024 - Noon-1:30 PM
Location: Zoom

Intellectual disability has been used successfully in criminal cases to achieve lower sentences, suppress statements, and much more. Nevertheless, persons with intellectual disability often go to great lengths to hide their disability - even from their lawyers - due to shame and embarrassment.

At this training, attendees will learn how to effectively document ID, educate relevant parties about ID (particularly judges or prosecutors who may have difficulties getting past stereotypes & misconception), and tell the client's story in a way that promotes positive outcomes.

See the flyer for more details, including registration information.

NOTE: This is a two-part training. Part I will be held on 4/16/24, and Part II will be held on 5/21/24. You must register separately for each session.
