SADO Hosts Free Training for Attorneys in Wayne County

Session to Focus on Bindovers, Appeals and Motion Practice

The Criminal Defense Resource Center of the State Appellate Defender Office, through generous grant funding by the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards, is pleased to offer a free training for criminal defense attorneys in Wayne County on Friday August 22, 2014 from 1 – 3 p.m. called “Bindovers, Appeals and Cutting-Edge Motion Practice”.  Join us for an information-packed session taught by two highly experienced Wayne County Criminal Defense Attorneys covering everything you need to know about the District Court bindover process, appeals to Circuit Court, interlocutory appeals to higher courts, motion practice to protect your clients’ rights and preserve the record, answers to important questions about motions in felony cases, and tips for using online resources in your practice.  Our presenters are Kelly McDoniel SADO Research Attorney and Appellate Summaries Author, and Neil Leithauser, SADO Research Attorney and Associate Editor, Criminal Defense Newsletter, and Principal Author, Defender Motions Book.  Information and registration is online or you can contact Heather Waara at hwaara@sado.org.
