Local Success: Jennifer J. France
Jennifer J. France, Chippewa County Deputy Public Defender, won dismissal of an assault by strangulation case during trial on September 24, 2014, after the complaining witness’s testimony. During cross-examination Mr. France was able to get the witness to admit she lied at the preliminary examination, to the police, and to the jury during trial. After calling for a recess, the prosecutor moved to dismiss.
